"Run" this link rather than Save if given the option.
It will create 2 icons on the desktop, 1 for WinLog and 1 for Dispatch.
When you see the "Could not find an Identifier" window, click the 'X' in the upper right hand corner to close this window.
Resize the Line Status to your number of phone lines if necessary.
The move the Line Status out along side, above or below the Main WinLog window.
Or go into Setup and Change the "Horizontal or Vertical Line Status" to "H".
Exit WinLog and Re-Start.
Resize the Horizontal Line Status Window and move it
somewhere convenient.
Select Demo from the Menu bar across the top of the WinLog program.
Click "Edit Demo Names". This is where the simulated caller id data comes from.
You can edit this document and use your own demo data.
Close the DemoNames.txt document. Click "One Incoming" in the "Demo Call Generator" window.
Click "Get Listing" button at bottom of Call Log screen.
Click "Events" button at top of contact window.
The Contact Events List will appear in the Comments area.
Click "Insert" and the Event data entry form will appear.
Change the Time to the caller's pickup time.
Click the "15" button to set the Reminder Time to 15 before the Event Time (e.g. Pickup Time)
Fill in the data for this pickup. Then Click "OK"
Click "OK" on the contact record.
Then click on the Events on the Menu bar at the top of the Main window (between Invoice and Setup).
At the Reminder Time the Event Data Entry Form will pop-up.
The dispatch program was made to work with WinLog. It's purpose is to Dispatch
drivers to pick up passengers. You estimate the times to pickup, drop off, pick up the next Pasenger etc...
You then update the estimated times witht the actuals. This gives you a good approximation
of when a driver will be available to pick up then next call.
